Weird egg

I have 4 BCM... one of them laid her first egg today but it had a gritty kind of film on it that made it look almost dusty. Is that normal? Also, it was small... same size as my white silkies eggs. Do they get larger? 1st pic is after I washed them.

Normal. they will get larger (and smoother), One of ours laid tiny a few (robin egg size) eggs.

We've had variations in our eggs. Some have a light, dusty coloration, while others are darker and have lots of speckles. As far as we can tell, it's normal.

That said, we had our first "weird" egg today. Looks to be malformed rather than "dropped." Not sure what's up with this one, as the birds look and behave like they're healthy. They have plenty of food, water, oyster shells, and dandelion greens. Haven't had the neighbor's dogs harassing them recently, so I don't believe they're stressed. Just random weirdness, maybe?
