Weird egg

The egg looks about normal only the extra thing on top....I'm not sure what that could be but I think it's extra shell.
How long has the hen been laying? How old is she? Is this her first egg? How thick is the shell?

I just adopted her a few months ago. Not sure of age but not a young bird.

Wow! That's a huge egg! I think maybe not getting enough calcium and vitamins or nutritions. What are you feeding her?

I feed layer feed, oyster shell, dried worms, scratch feed and some fresh veg

Might want to cut out all but the layer feed for a week or two, see if that changes things. Unless it's just her eggs, then it's an individual problem.

I would cut out all veggies, scratch and worms. That is not very healthy for laying hens. Can you get some layer feed?
