Weird Egg

Found an egg today that was odd shaped. I opened it. The yok was oblong and had a whitish covering. I tried to crack the yok, but it was really tough. The egg white was like water. When I finally cut through the hard yok, the inside was watery. The egg did not smell. The chicken has produced normal eggs before. Any thoughts on this weird egg?
