My ducks have always laid their eggs in the coop and have just recently started laying them out wherever they please in the yard. There were some over by the pheasant pens and there were even a few over by the pond, they are just random areas! Does anyone know whats going on?

* Maybe they just figured out the COULD lay them anywhere! OR, maybe one of them is going broody and trying to find a place where the eggs won't be picked up.

I dunno, but my ducks are doing the same.

And Kupo (one of the drakes) now follows us like a shadow when we go anywhere near any of those places and bites our legs and feet. (Luckily drakes can't do any damage!)

i agree i think your ducks are hunting a place to hide their eggs.
