Weird eggs??

Today one of my hens name: Dixi. Layed a weird deformed egg. The weird part is that it had no shell and it was layed in the rafters of the coop...it's weird . They only lay inside the laying boxes... please help!

I have found shelleless eggs from my hen occasionally. It is usually not a cause for worry, and mine don't lay them in the nesting boxes. Usually I fond them under the roost.

Is she a new layer? It’s common for odd eggs like this to occur when birds are just starting to lay. Body is figuring out proper balances. You can get shell less eggs, soft shell eggs, part hard part soft shell eggs, double yolked eggs, quite a few odd outcomes.
