One of my hens has something hard and long coming out of her foot between her toes but I have no clue what it is. Any ideas???

It looks like a deformity, probably an extra toe with a nail.
She's a year old and it wasn't there a few months ago. Whatever it is it is longer today than yesterday and it looks like it could be pulled out the rest of the way I'm just not going to without knowing if I should or not.

I probably would not do anything to it, unless it was causing pain or lameness. If it grows longer, and you can trim some of the toenail, that would be okay. A vet could probably remove it, but I would nit do it at home. When my hen jumped over a chainlink fence and caught her toenail ripping it off partially, that was very painful. I clipped off the hanging toenail, but she limped a week or so.

Does it cause her pain or lameness? Like Eggcessive said above, you could leave it if it is not.
Not that I have noticed but it is a little swollen around it. I can see now that it's not growing it's more like its pushing out of a hole. I think it is going to come out on it's own
