Weird growth on hatchling

It looks like the yolk sac did not absorb. Because of this, infection results. There really is nothing you can do but separate the chick from the others.

With chickens I have put a bandaid over it to keep dirt and stuff off of it and to help hold it in till it goes in by itself. It also helps to keep the others from picking at it and to keep it from dragging on the wire.
