Weird object inside an egg

Hi
One of our girls laid an egg, when we cracked it open, normal sized yolk and normal amount of egg white, but had this weird foreign object inside too.
We have only hens, no roosters and they are about a year old.
Any idea what this could be??

Wow, didn’t think it could be a blood clot as it has the capsule around it. Good to know. This was about a week ago and nothing abnormal since

I don't think that's a clot, I think it's an immature ova still encased in the follicle.
