Weird Rooster Noise?

Does anybody else's rooster seem to growl whenever he hears an unfamiliar noise? It sounds like what I imagine a pterodactyl call would sound like. He's a Buff Orpington, 2 years old, and abnormally sweet.

Ok, because I think it is hilarious, and his record is 2 minutes STRAIGHT of doing that weird rrrrrrrrrrrrrrhrhrhhrh thing, and I was just curious
You'd think he would know by now that the crows have no intention of harming his ladies...

I thought maybe... I just wasn’t sure why I hadn’t heard other roosters doing it before. I assume I’m just now around to hear it. Those sounds belong in Jurassic park!
