Weird Sound from 2 hens

Big question here; Does anyone know why these 2 hens are making this weird sound and have turned into statues? The video shows one here and then moves to on to another who wasn't making this sound or frozen still until she finally heard the first one. This went on for several minutes without either of them making a single move, including their heads. They are the only 2 I have so I can't say if more would have joined them. I've never seen or heard this before and I have asked several people whom I know that have chickens. Thanks for your time on this, Sheeba

From my experience, when any of mine do that (along with making unusual sounds), it’s due to them being on high alert. They may see/hear what they perceive as a predator. You don’t currently have a video, so I’m only guessing based off of observations of similar behavior with my flock. It’s very normal.
