Weird spot in egg

Hen just started laying again after about 6 months. This is her 4th egg in 2 weeks. Very soft shell, really rough feeling and smallish. This egg she laid today and it was slightly cracked so I decided to open the rest of the way. This strange looking brown mass was in the whites.

It is probably a large meat spot. You can try to scrape it out and then feed it to your dogs. Meat spots and blood spots can be common. Here is some reading:

Could be a meat spot.....or a small piece of lash material.

Why was she not laying for 6 months?
