Aww I love coming home to my flock running over and greeting me.

Still waiting for the running over stage but it'll come. They're at the "we know you and we think we like you but you're still kinda scary" stage haha.

Since it's been so hot here, I moved them out to the coop and let them play around in the run during the day. It's been awhile since I've had chicks and 3 years since I've had chickens but it's all coming back to me. I missed them terribly!! The past 2 nights they've gone under the coop since its raised, to the far back corner to hunker down for the night and I have to wrangle them and put them inside.

I can't remember- do they eventually instinctively go into the coop when its dark?

Yes. Just put in them in the coop, close to dark, every night. Theyll catch on after a while. Mine only took a couple of days, but I've read it can take up to a week, or so.
