Should i clean off the pine shavings that are stuck to some of these eggs before setting them or just leave them as is? Some of it seems to be stuck pretty good. Thanks

On the subject of Pine shavings, do those work as asuitable bedding for the baby chicks? Will it make them sick? I am buying the Timothy hay for rabbit(mostly cause my hay guy hasn't made a delivery lately).... They make it so mess in one day, I thought the pine might work better.

Thanks for the reply....... i hate having the Newbie blues!

You'll do fine. Just remember they're shipped eggs and the percentage of hatch with them can vary greatly, so just be prepared for that. With my own eggs I expect a good hatch...with shipped eggs not so much. I've had everything from 0 out of 18 to 11 out of 13. Just put them in and then get real busy doing something else for the next 3 weeks!!
