(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got our first group of ready layers a couple of years ago and we love it. Now we've been lucky to get some fertilized Easter Egger eggs from a friend.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 26 adults and have just this week hatched 17.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Red Sex Links and Easter Eggers

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
When we were looking to build our coop for our first group of laying hens 2 yrs ago.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We own and operate a dog Boarding Kennel just outside of Ottawa, Ontario Canada called Matthews Kennels. We also love to garden and hang out with our own dogs and our chickens :)

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
LOL Guess I already mentioned that in the above paragraph :)

Ah more dog people, makes my heart swell with pride. Many, many dog folks on BYC from every field. Thank you for joining us at Backyard chickens. What breed(s) do you have as personal pets. You don't have to answer if you'd rather not. I'm just curious.

We have 2 Chinooks :) Yes and we really do love BYC, been following this page for over 2 years now :) It's my "go to page" for chicken info!
