Hi! I'm Sherlock. Im 36 and i help my grandpa take care of his chickens. On Saturday we had 46 chickens. Today we have 58. I guess we needed some Brahmins. I'm physically disabled and its a lot.

We both really love buff Orpingtons (which my phone auto corrects to butt Orpington) and Americans. Im find of silkie but he isn't.

I have bonded with a weird looking little guy. Hes about 4 months old now and the cutest. Might even be a hen. I don't know.

So I'm a single mom with three kids. They dont really interact with the chickens. They have a dog who just wants eat them. At my house we have 4 dogs and zero chickens.

I was raised with hookbills. My dad still has my cockatoos. So birds are not unfamiliar to me at all.

Someday I want to show chickens. They have been therapeutic. They aren't even mine and i love them.

Here is a picture of my weird looking chicken Marshmallow. I have no idea what breed he is and he does not have black skin.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Greetings and welcome to BYC Sherlock! So glad you joined us. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. I recommend at least your state as most folks won't be able to figure out where if you put anything more specific (county, town, street, etc) by itself. Old folks like me :old will never remember & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!
