Ok guys soup and Wallace finally figured out how to parent and have 2 fat and happy 2 day old chicks. But Cannoli and Crumpet hatched a chick this morning and flipped out not understanding that their egg became a baby. I came home to it cold and gasping and it's currently in my shirt while the incubator gets to temp but can I convince Soup and Wallace to take a 3rd chick? I figure if they do I can rotate removing the babies so they all get fed, but I'm concerned about the older 2 outcompeting the 3rd newborn. Cannoli and Crumpet don't know what to do whith the baby and are too nervous to try and brood it. This was them at 6 before I came back a while later to find the baby freezing and both off the nest.

The smaller squab will most likely not be able to compete with the two larger for food. If it were me, I would warm it up and return it to the nest this evening when the hen is brooding the second egg. Good luck.

That would work...if there was a 2nd egg :(

Yay! The glutton convinced him! Think imma let them raise S&Ws first born and S&W can keep their smaller 2nd chick along whith the newborn as they seem to have a much more eager feed response to the babies compared to C&C who are handling this for the first time
