My Coop
Since Cordon, who had been a persistent and determined broody last spring, was broody in one of the regular boxes and had sat for a week I made her a maternity ward and moved her then started collecting my best eggs to give to her once she'd settled.

Last year it took at least 3-5 days in the breaker to get her to give up.

This time she never even sat down on her golf balls. :(

I feel like the chickens know our intention and intentionally work against us sometimes.

I built a second coop so that my silkie could live rooster-free, but decided to expand my flock to fill both coops a bit. A bit after the new chicks moved out to the coop, my silkie decided to go full on broody. Letting her try out hatching and seeing how this goes!

*5 eggs, estimated hatch is 5/23
