So I tried this again tonight. As soon as we come in the mudroom door, the dog goes straight for the brooder box and lays down next to it, tweaking out. I lay down next to her and tell her to stop and we watch the chicks together. She's huffing and puffing and drooling, just staring into the cage. The Polish chick walks up, pokes it's beak against the hardware cloth and gives her this look like 'Are you looking at me? Are you looking at ME? You better back off before I bust your knee caps, pal...'. That little bird has soooo much attitude. It's hilarious. A few minutes go bye and I start singing to the chicks since they looked really tired.

Don't laugh at me.

So the little chickies are falling asleep and what does Zo do? Whine and yip at them

She was upset, yet again tonight, when I covered the cage and brought her upstairs for bed. The chicks were still chirping up until 10ish minutes ago and Zoey sat at the baby gate at the stairs and whined to go back down...

She's going to drive me nuts, I can see it already... :|
