Only one of the eight eggs we had in the incubator hatched. It's a naked neck that I named Skekis, for obvious reasons.
The little thing got attached to me pretty quickly, and I love the ugly little bird.
But if it was in the brooder, it would constantly chirp in distress. So instead of ordering another batch of eggs, my wife sent me a picture of a breed she liked (BBS LF UK Orpington) and I did a local search. Fortunately, a local farm had that exact breed, and we bought four more chicks.

Congratulations on your new flock and good call getting chicks instead of hatching. Cant believe you were able to locate such beauties and good to keep them the same size-ish IMO. They look pretty styling in their new coop. Welcome to our world of chicken math and the likes. Looking forward to seeing you around the site.
