I bought two wellsummer (told they were pullets) 2 months ago (also told they were 5 months old) when I bought them. Clearly I am a noob. I now think they are roosters almost 7 months old and no eggs and they are making a fair amount of noise.

Our pretty Wellsummer hen is 6 moths old and she still isn't laying,,, but that is a splendid rooster so if you can't keep them at least you can find them homes where they will not end up being dinner. Maybe you can trade them for some young hens?

Yep, someone sold you two cockerels. Even worse, if you bought them at five months, there's no doubt the unscrupulous individual knew 100% they were boys. Sorry you got taken advantage of like that. :/

My Wellies were obviously female by 4 weeks because the feather coloration is entirely different for male/female and you can tell as soon as they feather in. You were taken.

Your Welsummer roo is a looker. I think it is nasty of people to take advantage and pawn off cockerels as pullets!
