Yesterday afternoon the snow started coming down....and at first graced us with about half an inch an hour...that changed to an inch an hour, and this morning, we have a new foot of snow....ick!

What's worse is, our hilltop is known for snow drifts. So, our road is closed, no way in or out, can't see where our property ends and road begins, and if it wasn't for the fact that I know where I parked it, and the fact that it looks like a giant snow mound, I wouldn't be able to find my van!

The lowest parts of snow comes to my boot tops...the deepest parts are nearly to my hip! I'm 5'4. Won't be letting the kiddos out today, as we might not be able to find them!

Our wood box was covered in about 2 foot of drifts. I dug it out at 6 am this morning and brought in dry wood.

Took my shih tzu out to potty - she fell right into the snow...had to pull her out by her leash. Couldn't even see her tail!

Now I'm gonna hafta go out and dig out the piggies from their hut, since it's finally a little bit day light!!

eta: and the snow is still coming down!!

We got about 5 - 6 ". So glad I brought in firewood yesterday! I guess I'm homebound all weekend but I don't mind. The senery is nice and I'll be planning to take a walk in it. Good time to cook from the BYC cookbook!
