My drake looks like a Welsh Harlequin but his offspring looks like a Rouen duck.

Does anyone know the differences between the two?

I know the Welsh Harlequin are a off shoot of the Rouen but what are the standards.

A couple of years ago I was this drake and his mate who did look like a Harlequin duck (who was his offspring)

I don't know exactly the standards, but a Rouen is a lot bigger than a Welsh Harlequin, for starters. Welsh Harlequins were developed from a "sport" in a Khaki Campbell flock, and is a bit bigger than a Campbell, but still much smaller than a Rouen.
Hth.

Rouen will be significantly larger, as stated.

Silver Appleyards look like big Harlqeuins, sorta. If the green is solid on the drake with no silver splashing, it's probably a Rouen. If it's silver, may be an appleyard.

Post some pictures of him!

The green head with graying reminds me of Greyfields pictures of his ducks he shared recently. I believe they were Silver Appleyards. Perhaps your male is a Silver Appleyard?
