I am new to ducks and chickens but tend to gravitate to the breeds that are not common so I now have three drakes (from a breeder) and four girls (from Metzgers).
I know nothing about the silvers and gold but I was surprised by the colors of my drakes. I am not clear tho on the genetics.
I am not sure if the females are silver but the are light colored. Does anyone know how to focus your breeding efforts for the gold genetics in this breed?
Any pics of gold females would greatly help!

Visually you can tell the difference between the silver and the gold by the bar on the wing. In silver it is blue and in gold it is a brown color.
