I have 2 Pullets that hatched on April 1... 10 days later and they just started getting a tiny bit of wing feather. Is this common for the breed?

I have only ever had 1 Welsummer, but he grew at the same rate the rest of the chicks did. Do you have pictures? My chicks usually start getting wing feathers at day 2 or 3

They are growing in size just not getting any feathers, which is weird

I had a Welsummer with this exact same growth pattern. All her sisters of different breeds had tons of feathers and she was just a giant baby. I've only raised a few Welsummers, and I got the other ones when they were older, so can't say if it's normal. I thought it was strange too! Maybe it's just a Wellie thing.

This actually helps clarify the mystery breed I have. The breeder said she was a Barnevelder but now I think she gave me a Welsummer. Mine has the same issue, tall and bigger than the rest but not a lot of "big girl feathers" on wings or any tail feather compared to the other breeds! (Shes older than the black Ameraucanas in the picture).
