I got back from a week vacation late Friday night, I had a friend watching the chickens, I was paying her in eggs, she did good the first few days, but Wednesday she went out and there was no light in the coop, Thursday she didn't make it out at all.
Sat morning I found. 7 eggs frozen solid, and 2 good eggs. This morning ( Sunday) I only found 1. This worries me, I fixed the light first thing Sat morning, the power cord to the coop had come unplugged. The coop has no windows, so the only light they had on Thirsday and Friday was the little bit that comes in the ventalation areas.
Best case they ate and drank fine, what they did have those two days, and the lack of eggs has to do with the light, but I worry that she didn't make it over on Friday either.
