Went to TSC yesterday and....

I went to TSC yesterday to pickup chick feed and dog food and they had just sold out of all their chicks & ducks, so they had all of their used 1 gallon waterers and feeders on sale ~ I picked up a couple for less than 1/2 price of the new ones. I will scrub and bleach them out before using. They look like new as they were only used about a month.

Oh, that's really cool! I never thought of that! Our TSC went overboard with ordering chicks, I think. There are still tons of chicks there, and some are reduced because they're getting "too big".

Man, I wish ours had!! I'd like to get a few more since I lost one and have to cull 2 roosters later!! I wanted an even 50 but I'll end up with 47!! Nobody around here has any that are bigger that I could mix with my 6-7 week olds!! Sigh

Cool! I did the same thing last week! They had regular reflectors with clamps for $10 but we found ones that were $5 since they used them for there chicks!!!

Got one of them too ~ heavy duty reflector light with 250 watt bulb ~ $4.50 total!​

I got my 8 chicks at my TSC, well actually mine was all out so I went to the next closest. They were all out of packaged bulbs both white and red. So the girl working the bins, sold me the blub from their brooder for a penny. Can't beat that. I'll be ordering more chicks from them tommorrow. They come from Mt. Healthy and are much cheaper.
