These two chicks were supposed to be hatchery sexed Buff Brahma pullets.

They'll be 4 weeks old in 2 days & look totally different. One is smaller with much slower feathering. I couldn't tell much difference in their combs. The larger chick much fuller & longer tail feathers.
Here's a pic....

I have 4 week old Light Brahmas - yours are definitely Buff - what makes you think they aren't pullets? I do think they are lovely, by the way.

It might be the slower feathered one is a pullet and the other is a roo. But it could be just that one is growing slower. I bought Brahma's from a hatchery lately (pullets) and a few grew slower than the rest. My wyandottes did the same thing. Some just grow differently I guess. Maybe it's a genetic trait.

Sometimes the cockerels can feather out slower, but from what I can see of the comb on the one on the left, both still look like buff brahma pullets to me.

Buff Brahmas. A front facial shot would be nice to be 100% certain of which sex at 4 weeks. Look like pullets.
