Hello,

New to the forums. We have been thinking about and researching chickens for the last year or so. Hopefully we can get a coop built soon. Sooner rather than later as there are 3 chicks making their residence in a brooder in my master bathroom! They are Easter Eggers that my significant other decided to get at the feed store. Waiting for them to get feathers and see what the look like and what sex they will be is so hard. (roosters are ok here) These came from a pullet bin but you never know. I also have some button quail chicks. I think they will all end up being silver. I had the eggs shipped to me and a neighbor incubated them for me. Going to be getting an incubator soon so I can do it on my own. Excited to start this chicken and quail journey.

you're lucky to be able to have roosters, technically I'm not allowed but I have 2. (understanding neighbors who like fresh eggs helps a lot)

There are several roosters around, I can hear them crowing. Its a very small "town" its pretty rural. Lots of people nearby have chickens. I think the nearest ones are one house over. Most people just have them in dog runs around here I have noticed. I do not plan on going that route.
