APA - ABA Sanctioned Show March 9th & 10th 2013
2013 Spring Show Registration Deadlines:
Mail-In: February 25, 2013
Call-In: March 1, 2013

OHIO's Largest Egg Show -- Eggs can be shipped to the show.​

Showmanship

We encourage all youth to sign up for showmanship. This years showmanship is sponsored by the APA-ABA Youth Program. It will be an APA-ABA style of interview. To help your youth prepare for showmanship, we have provided a resources page that contains study guides. Please see the APA-ABA Youth Program link on the resource page.
You may bring an extra bird for showmanship.

Our schedule of events during the show.



Friday

• 3:00 PM -- Building Opens Check In Begins
• 10:00 PM -- Building Closes.

Saturday

• 6:00 AM -- Building Opens Check In Begins
• 9:00 AM -- Check In Ends, Judging Begins
• 9:15 AM -- Showmanship Review Session (30 - 40 minutes)
• 10:00 AM -- Showmanship
• 10:30 AM -- Egg Show Judging
• 12:00 Noon -- A presentation about selecting birds and body types. This is a very interesting presentation and can be helpful to adults and children interested in showing fancy poultry. This presentation will last for about 45 minutes.
• 1:30 PM -- A presentation about exhibition turkeys, market turkeys and market chickens. This presentation will be especially useful to those raising turkeys or having meat turkeys or meat chickens as a fair project.
• 3:00 PM -- A presentation about disease and parasite control.
• 4:30 PM -- Crowing, Egg Call, & Turkey Calling Contests
• 5:00 PM -- Coloring Contest winners announced. (Pages turned in at 4:30)
• 6:00 PM -- Building Closes

Sunday

• 8:00 AM -- Building Opens. Judging of Super Champion & Meets
• 9:00 AM -- Egg Show Award Presented (Youth Building)
• 12:00 Noon --Birds Will be released after awards are presented.
