We are new to chickens when it comes to having our own but due to my grandparents health declining i was asked to take on his prized flock (prized to our family not a prized bird lol) that being siad we turned a kids play house into a coop and the rest is history.

Not much can be found about Sweater Grey what I know from family stories is they originate in central NC the Johnston county area from Percy Flowers and his game fighting birds. We dont condone fighting in anyway nor did my grandparents so they are more or less pets that lay medium eggs 1 every 2 days. The Roo is freindly to people but as we are still bringing in the colombians hes a bit off axis, Doesnt help the hens are bigger then he is almost.

Does anyone have anymore information about the sweaters, as they are hard to find i would like to breed them to share in the joy of having them as they can be great birds.

I've never heard of the term Sweater Grey either, sorry.
It may be someones project bird and they chose that name.

Your post made me curious about the breed, I'd never heard of them before either. A quick online search turned up this place in Mississippi, Rocky Top Game Farm:

Maybe they can be of help to you.
