I’m worried my ducks are sick or something. They just don’t look good... I don’t think they are molting, I don’t see any feathers anywhere. I have 2 and they are about 3 years old, a Cayuga and Blue Swedish.
The Blue Swedish has always been a little lazy/fat, I think she had a niacin deficiency as a ducking. She’s bow legged and pigeon towed with thick hocks. She lays down a lot because of this, but it seems like she has been more than normal. She layed a fairy egg yesterday too which I read could be because of stress. My Cayuga is usually very healthy and active, and she still seems to be acting normal, but her feathers are looking dingy too.
We live in hot/humid/wet Louisiana, I always make sure they have water, and food twice a day, I clean their pond about once a week, I think it’s approximately 150-200 gallons.
The Blue Swedish is my main concern, I’ve noticed a few eggs in the pond or next to it broken when she typically is pretty broody and makes sure to lay them in a nest.
