wet pellets

I have a hen with a severe crossbite(12 wks old)Pellets and grass are too challenging. However, wet pellets seem to work. If I watch for mold is this ok? Will it be ok if she doesn't get grit?

I water down my food for some of my birds and they do just fine with it. I change it every day. I remove anything they didn't eat, wash out the dish and put new in there with more water. It seams to work out well for us, and I don't waste as much food that way.
