I know we have discussed this before, but what are the regulations at your TSC.
Minimum Orders
Chicks: 6
Ducklings: 6

This is how it is at my TSC and it seems like everyone else can just get two ducklings. Also, it makes me mad because the workers at our TSC do not care at all about customer service. There is a sign on all the brooders saying "Use Caution When Handling Chicks & Ducklings." Also, there is a big thing of hand sanitizer right by the brooders with a sign saying "Please use after handling poultry." Well right when I pick a chick up a few inches off the brooder floor the rude older man that works there just says "Hey, don't touch them!" Does this happen to anyone else and can you just buy two ducklings? Maybe its an Ohio law?

Just depends on the management of your TSC. Our local one doesn't have a minimum on ducklings or chicks

. The TSC in the town south of us has a minimum of 6ea. ducklings or chicks.

At our TSC you have to purchase a total of 6. At least that's what it was last year. So you could buy 4 chicks and 2 ducklings but it had to be a total of 6. Our TSC chick days started today and wouldn't you know it, I'm broke!

Not like I needed anything anyway.

My TSC was horrible this year. They only had 2 bins,1 pullets and 1 straight run. Both were hatchery choice of birds, so no clue on the breeds. PLus they were almost $3 each.
They didnt care how many you bought and Im not even sure if they have ducklings or not.
Now the feedstore next door was alot better...

We have a local feed store and a while ago before having ducks I asked what do you feed them,he said all you have to feed them is cracked corn!Even I knew that wasnt what you should feed them!

1lpoock The TSC in Amherst says you only have to buy 2 ducks. They don't have any just yet, I think they said at the end of the month. They do have their bins set up though. I have never heard them tell anyone not to pick them up. They might say something to kids for fear of them dropping them but other than that, they are pretty nice there. My daughter goes in there and picks them up all the time. She turns them over and inspect everything on them. Then she makes sure they all can reach the water dish but they know her from 4-H.
