What age Did your hens stop laying eggs?

Trick question---or answer-----I have never had a hen to stop laying eggs(other than a molt break)---as long as she is still alive, BUT, BUT I never keep hens past around 2 to 2 1/2 years old---sell them! I keep Young Girls---LOL.

Mercy---You just told on yourself Leah567. Why are you not protecting your chickens?? I been raising chickens for over 50 years and rarely have a predator eat/kill my chickens. You have to have a secure coop at night that possums/coons etc can not get into. Chickens can not see at night so they can not fly away from trouble.

My chickens were always getting killed because we had built the chicken coop in our shed:)
The opossums would get in and rip their heads off. But we tore down our shed and built a sturdy, secure chicken coop. And I shut the door to it every night:D I learned my lesson with leaving the coop door open:thumbsup

I use the same method as PD Riverman, but the hen I have kept for longer laid until she was 6 and only stopped due to a severe health issue. However, the sexlinks I have owned quit after their first molt. Weren't worth feeding after that, and I won't be buying them again.
