Tending to my chickens
I had chickens last year, and one of our roosters started to crow around 2 months old. We got a new batch of chicks and ducks because the bear killed almost all of our chickens from last year and only 1 survived. The chicks are almost 4 months old, and I am 99% sure that we have 2 roosters. However, neither one of them has even began the noises of a crow. When the rooster started crowing at 2 months, it was sorta a squak, but the new roosters aren't even doing that. I'm just curious, when is a rooster supposed to crow?

I think it just depends on the chicken. I've heard of some that started crowing at three weeks

and then some that just take forever! So I'm guessing it just depends :)

I was just wondering this tonight! It is good to know. Although, now I guess we just go on waiting!

BTW, TinkyFeathers I love your avatar pic! So cute!!
