8 got a nice americaunas from a friend of a friend.i thought it was roughly 15 weeks old, but now 5 weeks later she is molting (losing all the feathers). I am shocked.she has never laid a egg during the 5 to 6 weeks that I had her.. NOW I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT AGE SHE IS OR IF SHE WILL EVER LAY A EGG AGAIN

still a good idea to check them over its my parents that have lost feathers out of my 18 they all seem fine but they have mites/lice on them and i would have never known until they started dying on me (even if then) but thankfully after seeing them on my parents i checked mine and sure enough there they were creepy very very small bugs white and red ewwwww

they loose their chick fluff and get feathers, then they loose their teenage feathers as they approach their adult body size.
Mine are 15-16 weeks now and there are feathers EVERYWHERE :)

But do check their skin
