what age will the roo start to get spurs?

A cockerel will not get any sort of "spur" until it is a year old, and even that is sort of a little nub. By 6 months old there should be a decent sized bump, and from there on it should grow. It isn't until about 2 years of age that they will have a seriously scary looking pair of spikes.

ahhh good to know.. Thank you
