What am I doing wrong?

You can see Barbara's wing in her picture, and her back is straight. No fancy feathers on her rump. I was a little concerned with her comb and her little wattles, but a rooster's would be MUCH more prominent, wouldn't they?

sorry, but that is a rooster, i can see the beginnings of the saddle feathers. And the white one is not a leghorn, looks like a cornish cross meat chicken to me.

I also see saddle feathers when enlarging the pic on Barbara, look just like the saddle feathers on my barred EE cockerel. And the other one looks to be a Cornish cross.

well then, Amica Farms goofed when they sexed it! In other words, "Barbara" is now "Barbarino".... LOL.....

Yes, they are supposed to be "meat birds", but they still lay eggs, right? (It'll just make turning them into soup, easier - later)

so Barbara is Barbarino! Oh well.... now I need a couple more hens, I guess!

Vinny (Barbarino) and Colleen have headed down the road a few miles, to a new yard and coop. It was for the best - no "livestock" of any kind is permitted in town, and I'm just on the edge of town, and didn't want to get fined.

Vinny can't complain, though - he only had Colleen - but NOW has 20 hens to keep him busy!

I believe he probably is too! He went from having a "wife" to having a "HAREM"!
