What am I in for if I get some Guinea?

My guineas are so wacky! I love'em to death. They are not too noisy, I'd say my roosters are alot louder then they're. But man if something upsets the guineas they won't shut up till I go out and check on them! So far mine mostly stay in the front yard or in the backyard, but they do roam. I don't know how far, though? We have a big ranch so I wouldn't know where all the go. If you want them to go back to their coop at night I suggest you raise the keets in their coop. Mine started roosting in a tree and won't go back to the coop.

So far the guineas have left the chickens alone. It's the chickens I'm worried that might attack the guineas!
Once my guineas roost in their tree for the night they do make alittle racket, but when it gets dark they go to sleep.
The main reason we got guineas was to have them in the garden. So far all they do is pick off the bugs and leave all the veggies alone.
My guineas are so crazy! They'll come eat out of my hand and if I sit down they'll come roost on my legs. They can give you the saddest lil' cry - If I'm outside hanging out laundry they follow me around and give me these sad lil' eyes. So I give in and give'em some food.
I have my own little call for my guineas for the chickens I say: Here Chick Chick Chick Chick Chick!!!!!
But for the guineas I say: Here Lil' Guineas!!!! And man they coma' runnin'!!!

We live in the boonies, so there are no neighbors that the guineas could harass. They roam wherever, whenever, and pretty much take care of themselves. Tomorrow we plan to turn the juveniles out to forage for the first time, and I'm hoping they come back to the coop to roost. But if they don't, they'll just join the troupe of adults roaming around.

They are SO funny! They are goofballs. Mother Nature's practical joke of the poultry world. I love them!
