What am I?

I should have been a black copper maran. I hatched out of an egg that looked just like the other BCM eggs, and the egg seller was certain that she had no other chickens that could have got near her BCM's. The other BCM chicks were a heterogeneous lot in that they were not great standard BCM chicks.

I have white feathers on my head and tail. I may look like a cross between a cuckoo maran with gold lacing, and a speckled sussex.

The next set of eggs sent had another odd chick that was very dark chocolate brown as a chick, and is getting lacing like me but only darker.

What on earth happened???

Also am I a boy or a girl (about 8 weeks)???

Could it be a cuckoo mix? And I think it's a girl. I have a bunch of 8-9 week BCM and BM. They have very prominent combs. The hens all have combs like that.

Yeah I have month old BCM's and the combs are bigger than that lol. I think its a girl

yeah, the over all profile looks pullet to me. your guess is as good as mine as to what breeds made that. cute bird.
