This is my bargain goose Yavanna.
I was guessing Embden, but these pictures are from two weeks ago, and a lot of that gray fuzz has been replaced by grey feathers. Is this normal for Embdens in their first year? Maybe she's not an Embden?

I think Embeden goslings are all fuzzy yellow fluff. She looks like she could be a mixed breed possibly but you may have to wait till she is fully grown before you know for sure. I know female Pilgrims, Cottonpatch, and I think Pomeranians have patches of grey and white, but there are probably more that I am forgetting. I only have American Buff, so I can't help with the specifics. She's a beautiful goose though !

They sure are pretty.

My mom believes she's a mutt. The farm I got them from doesn't raise Poms, Pilgrims, (anymore) or cottage patch, but they do have Shetland. She's as big as my dewlap toulouse gander of the same age, and Shetlands are suppose to be small geese.

She's very pretty. Geese can have saddleback markings that just come out of the blue. Apparently, they all carry the genetics that can make it pop up. She doesn't look anything like a Pomeranian to me.

If the parent flock all ran together, then she is a mix. If breeds were separated, then she could be a Shetland.
