so...
I got five new chicks off a friend and she never told me what these 'lil peepers are. please tell me what breed these babies are and if I should call it "mr." or "mrs.". some may be just a barnyard mix, so I don't really expect that it will be revealed if these birds are rir, austrolorp, etc. This morning I caught three of them to take pictures of, so just tell me what you think they are and if they are girls (!) or boys :)hmm) here are the pictures!
also, help me name them too!
(left to right) unnamed hen? clotted cream hen? and lancelot rooster?

Barnyard mixes. Possibly mixed with a silkie or polish?
maybe. the girl who I got the chicks from did have a pure black chick who was definitely a polish crested. also, could you please tell me who will crow in a few months? I am in a place where I can only have 1 rooster. thanks!

As far as I can tell, the black one and the creamy tan one look like pullets. I can't say regarding the white chick. We will need more clear face photos, preferably from the side of the face and front. It might be challenging! This is the age when chicks seem hopped up on red bull, what with all that crazy energy!

If my chickens don't cooperate, I tape a long skinny piece of red paper to the top of my camera to get them to look at my lense.

The breeds that have beards and crests take longer to determine who is a pullet and who is a cockerel. The fluff kind of gets in the way but we'd be happy to help.
