What animal did this?

I "had" 9 chickens. 1 roo and 8 hens. I went out the other morning to feed them & found two of them dead. Both girls had their bottom half of body chewed on & mostly gone. They were just laying on the ground. One definately fought back due to all the feathers on the ground.
I have had coyotes get into their large run but they have taken the bodies (even lost 5 in one night!). Have lost several small turkeys to racoons but this one baffles me.
Any ideas????

I know we have coyotes, fox, cougers, racoons, hawks, owls in the area & probably a few more.

Might be a possum too, they usually eat the entire abdomen, and leave the bird. The larger predators seem to take their prey with them. Most small predators attack the head and neck. Sorry for your loss, I feel terrible you had to witness that.
