I haven't had guineas for years so I have enjoyed reading this thread and relearning things and learning new things about them
Now after alot of begging my dh let me get more. I bought 6 1day old keets. These babies hatched on or around Oct.8th so they are almost 2 weeks old. I have them in the house under a heat lamp and all are growing and feathering nicely. My question is at what age can they come off the heat and be moved outside? Will I need to keep heat on them with colder weather coming?
I live on a mountain in Alabama. At what age can I intergrate them with my adult chickens? I am planning to pen them up with the chickens til early spring when I can turn them out into the yard. 1 more thing, I never knew guineas would eat fire ants,
my yard is full of them!
