I am interested in reading up on breeding techniques, and was wondering who some good authors where. Other than Ralph Sturgeon.
Thanks

Surely somebody must know of a book that has to do with genetics, line-breeding, and so forth. I know of Ralph Sturgeon but his books are hard to come by.

Dan Honour's "The Art of Breeding Poultry". A collection of articles some of which are dating back over a 100 years ago.

Oh, btw the ralph sturgeon book has been reprinted by a company, ask around on here and someone will be able to give you the website...

"The Call of the Hen", a reprint is available on amazon.com, excellent book on developing breeds and standards by a master breeder. From the very early 1900s.
