What are these two different chicks and thoughts on roo or hen

These two chicks came to me as someone's " surprise" chick with their large amount of purchased meat birds. I have no idea what they are or if roo/ hen. Any help?

How old? The bird pictured looks like a cockeral, but better pictures and age may help.
