What are these?

They are all pullets (I was told) but am new to the chicken world and am not sure on the breed. Can you help? They are a really pretty reddish brown color with black tips on the tail feathers. Yellow beaks and legs.

Thanks! Is that a term for any generic red chicken (like mutt)? Or is that really a specific breed?
 
Production Reds are a cross between New Hampshire Red and Rhode Island Red chickens. Their a good dual purpose breed. Ive been happy with ours I think you will too. Good Luck.

Body type wise, they look just like my New Hampshire Reds, but they are darker, red-er than my girls. But, their feet and bodies look just the same.

I bet the other are right, RIR and NHR, Production crosses!

I love my NH Reds!!
 
Hatcheries call them Rhode Island reds, and they're great layers. They're not the same as RIR's from breeders, as they've been crossed with NHR somewhere in there to up production.
