Here are some updated pictures on the mystery chicks. I couldn't find my old post if I do I will post a link to it here. Lyle swears they're BA's BUT a friend of mine who raises JG's said they're awefully big to be a medium sized chicken and she believes they might be Giants. I am oh so confused at this point... does anyone think anything at this point? They're just under two weeks old. The white chick standing next to Chick 5 is four weeks older than them, but is also a game chicken not a laying bird.

Yes I realize there's a rooster in there, that was the whole point. Haha. - OH so I don't know if you can tell on the pictures BUT... White tipped wings on SOME of them. The rooster's wings are solid black and so is another one of the chicks. Their legs are black all the way down to the foot, the feet and bottom of the feet are white/yellow. Their combs are black, most of their beaks are black with a little bit of white either on the end or a streak through the middle.

Nifty trick!

Ausies have white legs, so the chicks legs would be pale

Giants have yellow leggs, so they're chicks legs will be brighter in color

No, Giants do not have yellow legs. They should have nearly black or a tendency toward willow; black preferred. The underside of the feet will be yellow, but sometimes this doesn't show up for awhile.

Excuse me, Giants have yellow Feet and Skin. They're shanks are slate grey, not black

I have some updated pictures I'll upload today. They're all black, and larger than my older EE chicks. Not by much, but still larger. They also have a very in your face attitude. The rooster now weighs over a pound, closer to two.

Here they are lounging in the shaded area with the Giant Peking ducklings... it will help to compare their size to these seven and eight pound whopper of ducks I suppose. And the ducks are only five weeks old. The chicks are nearing seven weeks now, and the large roo [Spencer] is just under two pounds.

The one standing straight up in this picture that isn't feathering out shows no signs thus far of being a rooster.

I'll upload a few more later but their hot and don't really want to be messed with.

ETA: The guinea isn't dead... he/she just likes to lounge that way. And added a picture of the cockeral that is trying to crow
