Does any one know what breed this hen is?

It does kind of look like an australorp

is it a hatchery bird? I cant really tell but it almost looks like it has a crest in the photo.

My guess is Silkie , Australorpe cross .

maybe a cross-breed? The black colored comb mades me think of a silkie.

If you just look at her body, she looks a lot like my 12 month old Jersey Giant. Her body is much stockier than my BA's. Hmmm

She definitely has a crest like a polish and so do her offspring. Here is some pics of the smooth girls.

I do think they have polish in them but not sure what else?
