What breed and gender am I

Is this a black sex link ? I think its a hen, but would like more opinions. It is 3 months old.

The first is definately a Barred Rock and looks like a hen for sure! The second looks like a mutt possibly a barred rock/RIR (I have one that looks nearly the same, but instead she's barred rock/buff orp)and looks like a roo! Beautiful birds

Wow thanks everyone for such quick reply's. I didn't realize barred rocks could be so dark. I have other barred rocks and they are much lighter in color. Now I know...
Oh yah.. I see the barred rock in the 2nd one now.. especially the darn tail..
